A BIT ABOUT CHRISTOPHER

Christopher Friesen is a highly skilled musician, music coach, and multi-instrumentalist based in Portland, Oregon. With over a decade of experience as a bassist and band member, Christopher has toured internationally and performed at numerous festivals, including the North Sea Jazz Festival, Love Supreme Festival, and Soul'd Out Festival. In addition to his work as a performer, Christopher has also worked as a musical coach and has shared the stage with several notable artists, including Lalah Hathaway and Hiatus Kaiyote. With several years of formal education in music from Clackamas Community College and additional training at the Alan Jones Academy of Music, Christopher has developed a strong foundation in both the performance and music business.

In addition to his work as a session player and recording artist, Christopher has also performed in many bands and ensembles, including Jarrod Lawson, Wil Kinky Trio, Cameron Morgan Group, Mars Retrieval Unit, and Worth. With over 100 live shows per year and a discography of 16 published releases, Christopher brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his music-teaching business.
